159 g (NEM: 112 to 146 g).

No significant difference from the 111Ab. Two improvements:

  • Wires are soldered to the bogie current pickup tabs. They pass through the central hole of the pivots, then under the interior fittings to end up in the toilet;
  • The height is correct to within a few tenths of a millimetre.

On my model, the chassis is not properly snapped into the body at one end (see 2nd photo). Easy to correct.

The interior fittings are in night position, with all berths unfolded.

Evolution:

  • Type 110Aa manufactured in 133 units in 1971-1972;
  • Type 110Ab manufactured in 40 units in 1973, for domestic traffic and to the USSR (interchangeable bogies);
  • Type 110Ac, subject of the present model, produced in 200 units in 1976-1977.

For my reference period, a 110Aa would have been better.
