Comments

Epoch IVb. Quality a bit below the DB ref 644xx Roco cars, but it dates from 1990! Distinctly too low.

The roof can be disassembled as follows: looking corridor side, pull the roof to the right forcing a little, because there is a slight snap on the left end. No need to completely remove the beads.

The corridor wall, poorly maintained, leans and squirms. UIC beads are not hollow. The axles rotate in metal bearings to power a lighting.

See:

Modifications

  • Corridor wall straightened by gluing on the compartment walls.
  • Body raised with 1 mm thick plastic spacers 1-point suspension side and 0.5 mm 2-point suspension side. Resulting height: 46.3 mm.
  • Decoration of floors and walls by printed and cut up paper.
  • Lighting controlled by bistable reed switch.
