Comments

1st class car of the Deutsche Bundesbahn. Epoch III. The same Roco car, ref. 45860, in UIC marking, epoch IV, wears the number 51 80 10-40 118-1 Aüm202. The ref. 45864, in ocean blue / cream livery, has the number 51 80 10-40 201-5. Neat manufacturing. Seats inserted. Light pipes going from under the roof to the lanterns. The axles rotate in metal bearings to power a lighting.

Value for money much better than for SNCF productions, but the handrails are difficult to mount!

Car too low (about 0.5 mm).

See gamos81.altervista.org for the reference list of issued DB UIC-X car models.

Modifications

Axles isolated in the middle; wheels and axles painted (blended Humbrol grey No. 32 and rust No. 113).

History

The Aüm 202 are ex A4üm 202 of 1954 (Bauart 1954), made in 199 units. The Aüm 202 have a UIC number 51 80 10-40 xxx-x. I don’t have more information.
