Coat of arms of Saint-Louis. Depot of Strasbourg.

The grey colour is not metallized, because this loco is originally green (but perhaps it is better than a metallized whose specks would be too visible).

The roof holding the panto gapes a little. The front handrail at end 2 is not complete (moulding defect). The side numbering plates are too thick (very visible in grazing light).

Other references in metallic grey have already been released: 15009 ref. 10047 and 15015 ref. 10048. Others are to come.

Modifications

  • Screw of the panto removed. The fixing holes (body and panto stand) are filled and repainted. Panto extension limitation by polystyrene stop 0.3 mm thick.
  • Cab background painted in light yellow, driver installed cab 1.
  • Rectification (not perfect) of the roof.
  • Lokpilot V4.0 21-pin decoder. Modification of function keys assignment.

History

Locomotives built in 65 units from 1971 to 1978 by Alsthom. Continuous power 4420 kW. Maximum speed: 180 km/h. Weight 87.9 t.

The 15005 was put into service on October 2, 1972 in Strasbourg. It was originally green, repainted in TEE livery probably around 1983, so out of reference period, and, therefore, it did not receive the metallic grey livery. The first to have received the original Arzens livery is the 15006. Too bad… I only had to check before buying.
